How to care for Linen
Linen pieces will crease with wear. This is a natural and expected characteristic of the fabrication. To reduce creasing, we recommend conducting a light steam of your piece before wear, or prior to being stored. When hung, creases will naturally fall.

How is Linen made
You may notice small ridges present in our linen fabrication; these are known as linen slubs. Slubs are a normal characteristic of all linen and natural yarns. They occur as a result of the intricate weaving process of the natural yarn and appear as thicker, raised threads on the fabric surface. Slubs are oftentimes purposely manufactured with the intention of giving the linen an organic, tactile look and feel. Scanlan Theodore, however, uses the highest quality, artisan Italian linen made using traditional milling techniques, resulting in natural linen slubs throughout the fabrication.
Scanlan Theodore’s Linen Garments and Linen Fabrication are of the finest quality and offer a natural lightweight luxury feel that is durable and breathable. Our signature designs are crafted with comfort and effortless dressing in mind. We have shared some guidance to ensure that your piece stands the test of time and can be enjoyed for years to come, just as it was designed to.
